President of Parrot Head Remodelers, has been a professional remodeler for over 30 years.  He is a licensed general contractor (Minnesota License #20631959) and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist trained in Universal Design (Universal Design is the design of products and environments to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design) since 2008.

He enjoys working with customers with physical challenges who need their homes adapted to make them safer, more accessible and barrier-free.

His interest in CAPS stems from his philosophy of remodeling being about customized service to meet customers’ personal needs, and his experiences remodeling family members' and customers' homes to make the homes safer and more comfortable as people dealt with specific physical challenges such as blindness, Parkinson’s disease, chemical sensitivities, and using walkers and wheelchairs.

As a CAPS contractor, Brad is able to work in partnership with a customer family and its medical professional to identify customers’ precise current and future needs for home modifications.  That includes caregivers’ needs, as well.

We have had the pleasure of working with Parrot Head Remodelers on a number of projects over the past ten years. In our previous home, they completed numerous projects including a complete kitchen/family room remodel, second floor reconfiguration and building a two-level deck. What especially set them "above and beyond" in performing these tasks was their care in respecting the architectural integrity of a 75 year old home, right down to hand-fabricating new trim to match the existing woodwork.

Even though we've since moved to a new home, Parrot Head has worked on several projects including installing a sauna, converting a conventional door to a pocket door and other "small" tasks to add/improve things we just didn't think of during the original building process.

What really sets them apart is Brad's creative "problem solving"...coming up with ways to do things we never would have thought of.
